Larger than life, Seaworld is a wonderful place to visit with the family. This past weekend we had the pleasure of visiting Seaworld San Diego. From thrilling rides, Sea Lions Live and beautiful aquariums, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Right as you enter, your are immediately greeted by several touch tanks. The Aquaria Touch Pool is a hands-on opportunity to learn about creatures such as wavy top snails, round rays, spiny sea urchins and opaleye fish. Our boys reached right in and touched the round rays. The onsite trainers are excellent teachers. My boys had lots of questions and they were incredibly knowledgeable.
We also loved the Beluga and Dolphin presentations! We were thrilled by the animal’s tricks and the frozen wonderland of these ice animals. These extraordinary Beluga whales are described as playful Harbor Seals and Colossal walruses. They are nothing short of exciting and amazing!
The Sesame Street Bay of Play is great pit stop for family-friendly fun. This area of the park features a jungle gym, splash pad for hot days & rides fun for the little ones (and big brother’s)!
The Orca show was by far our family favorite. The Orca’s are enormous, weighing over 9,800 pounds. The boys were in awe of the ocean's most powerful predator. They loved learning about their complex communication codes. We learned about the role of family and the how important play is to the Orca’s . They are mighty and magnificent. This was a show we will never forget.
