Free Virtual Ukulele Lessons Now - Dec. 23 and a Holiday Concert

A Virtual Very Ukulele Holiday concert by Jazzy Ash from Dec. 16-20

December 9, 2020

This holiday season the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office presents a new program A Very Ukulele Holiday with Jazzy Ash, inviting the whole family to come along for an adventure to enjoy free beginner ukulele lessons and a holiday music performance. Jazzy is a celebrated vocalist, writer and arts educator, and she tours the country performing jazz for young audiences.

Through the generosity of the Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation and a special arrangement with Giacoletti Music Center in Oceanside, last month families were given the opportunity to register to receive a free ukulele kit that included lesson materials. Starting Dec. 9, anyone interested will have access to streaming beginner ukulele lessons created by Jazzy. The goal of this program is to ensure that the arts remain an integral part of life in the City of Carlsbad.

“We are so grateful to partner with the Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation and their generous support to bring the gift of music to families here in Carlsbad and share the talents of Jazzy Ash this holiday season,” commented Cultural Arts Manager, Richard Schultz.
