10 Fun Places to Visit in North San Diego County

There are so many fun things to do in our community. With the Covid restrictions be sure to check before heading out to visit any of the places listed below. 


1. Visit the California Surf Museum Store 312 Pier View Wany, Oceanside, CA 92054

Phone: (760) 721-6876. The museum floor is closed at the moment but you can still visit their store daily from 11 am - 3 pm. Click here to check on museum updates. "The California Surf Museum was founded in 1986 and has been in operation for three decades serving tens of thousands of annual visitors from over 40 nations around the globe. With a permanent collection that chronicles the history of surfboards and wave-riding, the museum also offers many revolving exhibits each year. In its current museum-quality space, it has acquired a rare set of archives and collections gathered over more than 30 years, comprising one of the world’s richest troves of surfing history."


2. Visit the San Diego Zoo Safari Park 15500 San Pasqual Valley Rd, Escondido, CA 92027

3. Legoland One Legoland Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008

4. SEA LIFE Aquarium at LEGOLAND® California Resort One Legoland Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008

5. Visit Downtown Encinitas Encinitas, California

7. Visit the San Diego Botanic Garden 300 Quail Gardens Dr, Encinitas, CA 92024

with plants and nature."  San Diego Botanic Garden offers a fun and family-friendly community gathering space designed to foster delight and curiosity of the natural world. 9. Visit Moonlight State Beach 386 B Street, Encinitas, CA 92024

Enjoy the outdoors by heading to the beach. This California state beach is run by the City of Encinitas. Your family can enjoy surfing, sunbathing, tennis, volleyball, bonfires, beach walking, and swimming. There is park for the kids to play at as well. 


10. Visit South Carlsbad State Beach Carlsbad Blvd and Poinsettia Ln., Carlsbad, CA 92011

This 3-mile long beach is such a great place to visit. Along with all the fun that comes with visiting a beach such as camping, surfing, swimming, scuba diving, hiking, fishing, birdwatching there are also Yoga classes at the Carlsbad State Beach.
