The new Bach to Rock music school in Encinitas is all things COOL. Just the place for a novice guitar player, an energetic preschooler, or a serious classical musician with their eyes set on playing the New York Philharmonic one day, “B2R” is the music school for you. This state the art music school, studio and simulated concert stage is designed to please aesthetically and acoustically. The halls are decorated with photographs of some of our most beloved bands and rock legends. The owners Amy and Rick Walker are kind and passionate about their mission of making music relatable and teachable at any age and skill level. Bach to Rock in Encinitas will offer a variety of programs for students of all ages including: individual lessons; group classes such as Rock Band; the Beat Refinery DJ school; Rock n Roll is for toddlers and Rock City is geared toward preschoolers; Kids-n-Keys for children in grades K-2 interested in piano; along with summer camps and birthday parties.
I brought my little rockers in for their “Rock City” class. The instructor, Indigo, kept his class engaged with age appropriate language, humor and hands on practice. In only one session, my kids learned music note names, played the drums and walked out with a desire to learn more! My kids not only learned some fundamentals of music they also had fun doing it.
The owners Rick and Amy Walker have already begun to accomplish their goal which was to “Bring the music alive at B2R”.
