Visit Carlsbad’s Kidifornia Beach Party

Visit Carlsbad hosted a Kidifornia Beach Party at Beach Terrace Saturday October 21st.  The event was filled with family fun; corn holes, delicious local snacks, custom temporary tattoos and photo ops! Families had the opportunity to meet the City of Carlsbad's Mayor Matt Hall. The weather was beautiful and the location was as picturesque.  Kids competed in the sandcastle contest, music was provided by a DJ and there were smiles all around.  Seasoned sand castle builders such as the "Sand Castle Man" helped the kids by providing pointers.

Visit Carlsbad is in search of their “mini mayor”and is currently running the contest until November 12th. Carlsbad kids from all over the city are entering by filming a 1 minute video about what they love about living in Carlsbad. Parents are uploading videos onto Instagram using the hashtag #minimayor and #kidifornia.

There have been so many creative and inspiring videos! For instance, one local kiddo, Anthony Jones was creatively filmed his video at his favorite Carlsbad locations. You can see Anthony’s entry down below!  The Kidifornia Beach Party was full of family fun!  Macaroni Kid Carlsbad is excited to find out who Carlsbad's first mini mayor is going to be!
