Pumpkin patches are so much more than just places to buy a  great looking pumpkin. Pumpkin farms listed here also offer a lot that can make for a full afternoon or day of family fun which makes the drive there worthwhile! Check back often as we will be updating this list of events all month long. 



Carlsbad Strawberry Company Pumpkin Patch, Carlsbad- 2020 Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze September 18th- November 8th

Admission: $5, Children 5 and under are free- Activity Fees vary

What is the Halloween season if you didn’t get a great photo (or several) with some pumpkins? We know that photos in a pumpkin patch are a hallmark of the Halloween season, for families, couples, and friends, so we’ve come prepared with giant pumpkins, perfect for the social media photo. Visit us on the weekends and where games and food will make it a memory to last a lifetime. We love when your family visits our family farm – it’s like our family is continuously growing larger, and we couldn’t be happier about it!

You can enjoy Apple Cannons, Tractor Rides, Corn Maze (Haunted Corn Maze in October), and the Pumpkin Patch 



Bates Nut Farm, Valley Center- 2020 Pumpkin Patch September 19-October 21st

Free Parking, NO Admission Fee, $5 Parking Fee on the weekend

Since 1963 families have journeyed to Bates Nut Farm's Pumpkin Patch to create fall family memories and traditions. Visitors can grab wheelbarrow and choose bright orange Big Mac pumpkins right from the field. Tractor hayrides, a straw maze, petting coral, and the Bates Farm Zoo are offered daily. Come out and enjoy the first day of pumpkin season with us! Weekday hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm. Weekends: 8:30am to 6:00pm



Peltzer Winery & Pumpkin Farm, Temecula- September 26th-October 31st

Monday - Friday Entrance: $2 per person. Saturday - Sunday Entrance: $3 per person. Children under 2 years old are free with a paid adult, children 2 years and older must pay entry fee.

  • Petting Farm: $2 per person (children under 2 years old are free with paid adult) 
  • Gem Mining: $5 per person
  • Pony Rides: $6 per child (90lb max)
  • Tractor Garden: FREE
  • Train Ride: $5 per person (children under 2 years old are free with paid adult)
  • John Deere Mini Carts: $5 per person (100lb limit per cart)
  • $50 Pumpkin Pass available for families of 5 for the whole season, can be used M-F

There will be NO Pig Races or Carnival Games this season in response to social distancing regulations for COVID-19.




Julian Mining Company, Julian- Pumpkin Patch, Apple + Berry Picking Sept. 19- Oct. 25, Thurs-Mon

Admission on weekends requires all guests to purchase 10 activity tickets for $10 a person (2 and under free)
