Phoenix Sports is a unique, non competitive sports program for children ages 2-11. We are a recreational and educational organization that empowers growth, confidence, teamwork, and helps promote developmental life skills. We focus on the whole child while bringing the classroom to the field with educational and exciting sports games that teach skills and focus on important life skills that help children grow socially and emotionally.
Our owner Douglas Goldfein is a local CUSD PE instructor and holds a California multiple subject credential with over 9 years of classroom experience with K-8. At Phoenix Sports our coaches and curriculum truly empower children to grow and develop in a positive and safe environment where children can be free to be themselves and learn at their own pace without feeling left behind.
Unlike the larger franchise programs in the area. Our owner Douglas Goldfein (a.k.a Coach Donald Duck) is the face of Phoenix Sports and 90% of the camps are coached by himself. Coach Douglas uses his classroom experience and brings strategies and techniques that are used by teachers nationwide to the sports field. These types of strategies and techniques help children learn and build confidence in themselves as the practice the fundamentals of their sport.
Coach Doug understands the hectic schedule that parents deal with everyday and has developed a program that is 100% parent schedule friendly.
