Coming This Summer: TGIF in your Backyard
Since the pandemic short-circuited the planning process for the 2021 season of the TGIF Concerts in the Parks, we can look forward to their return during summer 2022 and the 35th Anniversary. To keep the TGIF spirit alive, the Cultural Arts Office will present a virtual series of four concerts, TGIF in Your Backyard, recorded live in the Schulman Auditorium at the Carlsbad City Library. Cultural Arts Manager Richard Schultz remarked, “It’s Carlsbad’s favorite summer tradition.Now, they can fire up the barbecue and invite family and friends for their own special TGIF celebration at home.”Available through the city’s website, each concert will debut on a Friday in July and August and be available for additional viewing for a week.
